My old friend Stacy came for a visit this weekend. It was so nice to catch up with a friend that I haven't seen in a few years.  Stacy and I were roomies in college and she moved to the Monterrey bay area so it didn't feel like she was too far, but now she has moved back to her home state of Louisiana so it feels really far! One of the things she wanted to do was go out to Crane Creek county park and take some pictures of the kiddos. Basically, one of my favorite things. I think she really knows what she is doing when it comes to photography so I'm excited to see the ones she took. These are the ones I took along the way - I think they are pretty cute - probably because they are of my two favorite things.  

Lately

Life has felt so busy lately. 
We have had lots of this:

wearing clothes in new ways

birthday parties (seems like every weekend!)

hikes

field trips

And lots and lots of soccer!

First Grade

First grade is "Great" according to Curtis.  He had an awesome time and seems so happy about being back in school.  His report when I picked him up was that first grade is so fun! He has so many best friends! And he didn't have any homework!
There were no tears this year. Admittedly all the tears were mine last year.  What a boy! And look how handsome.  I love this kid so much.

Everyone seemed to settle in and hardly looked back when it was time to say goodbye to the parents.
